About This Role: The RN will organize and administer individualized age-specific professional care to patients with complex wounds requiring specialized care and treatment in an inpatient acute care setting. They will provide nursing care as directed by the medical staff and in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures of the department and the State Nurse Practice Act. They will perform thorough wound assessment and wound care for a variety of acute and chronic wounds in accordance with established protocols, assess patients in the context of wound management, including pain assessment, wound measurement and characteristics. They will assess underlying etiologies and obtain health history related to the wounds and perform care as directed by the care team. This is a part-time opportunity, working five 8-hour day shifts every two weeks (weekend & holiday rotation required).

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN License or approved compact license
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• AHA BLS prior to start date required
• CWON Certified Wound and Ostomy Nurse certification, preferred
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience preferred; Wound and/or ostomy care knowledge required
